Aside from reconstructing the sidewalk sections west of 9th Street on Main, the contractor’s work will be isolated to just Main Street and Court Street, not including the 9th Street intersections, until mid-August. The contractor has indicated their immediate emphasis will be removing and palletizing the existing brick on these two streets. After all the brick has been removed you will likely see them removing the existing curb and gutter and begin excavating some of the existing road’s base materials, e.g. sand and dirt. Depending on how things move along, storm sewer updates may begin during this time. The contractor has also indicated they plan to work with adjacent building owners on any window well or coal shoot issues they may have soon. Check back in the next few days, we plan to have an updated phasing plan uploaded at the bottom of the website; this should help answer these questions.
